Your personal style and befitting jewellery
It is very inspiring to see the many creative ways in which women dress. Style is inherent and its expression is so diverse, that it is such
an inspiration. The way we all dress is different and it is an expression of who we are and what we do. Our closet, expresses our attitude.
Jewellery is a very important part of our closet. Since it is the most expensive accessory on a person, it expresses a lot about one’s taste
and style. Jewellery can make all the difference, and can take your outfit from simple to extraordinary. As a jewellery designer I always
work towards creating pieces of jewellery that are not only aesthetically appealing, but are unique, vibrant and expressive.
The first step to understanding what jewellery will work well with you is to understand your personal style. A person who knows what her
style is finds it very easy to pick up one piece from the many available and knows exactly what will look good on her. I usually suggest
my customers to pick up what suits them and give that maximum weight-age, not the fashion trends.
Versatility is important when selecting a piece of jewellery; many classics I believe fall into this category. Right from long chains,
pearl strings, a simple diamond stud are all that make up the very essentials. However, the important aspect is to see that the basic or the
classic pieces of jewellery are falling and sitting absolutely right for the person, and can be compared to a tailor fit garment.
Its not about wearing jewellery that matches, but its about creating your own style with interesting combinations. It is like painting you
own picture, in your own way, the most important thing being personal style and its expression.
Many times in my career, I have seen many stylish women wear the pieces I have designed in many more creative tones than one can imagine.
It is indeed the most satisfying experience for any designer to see their creation being worn with creativity.
In my boutique, I see fashionable women come everyday and their creativity is inspiring. Creating your own look and believing in what you are
wearing, is about the confidence that comes from within.
So I would urge you all to tell your customers to buy what suits them best and not follow trends blindly. Creative dressing is about
personal style and understanding the power that jewellery as an accessory holds in it. A piece of jewellery can redefine one’s style,
so it should be chosen with care and designed with all the details, such that it lasts a lifetime and can be worn again and again by a
person creatively and stylishly.
Creative dressing has always been an inspiration for me and let your customers be your inspiration!
