The World Gold Council is delighted to be associated once again with South India Jewellery Show' 2008. The maiden Business to Business initiative SIJS 2007 held in Bangalore, I understand was a great success and proved beyond doubt that it served as an ideal platform to bring the Retail Trade closer to various manufacturers of jewellery, from across the Country. In today's competitive scenario, there is a need by the Jewellery community to continuously innovate, keep in sync with emerging trends, explore ways and means to upgrade jewellery technology, resulting in new refreshing designs. The forum that SIJS has put together, I strongly believe would serve as a tool for the Jewellery fraternity to embrace new techniques and knowledge, which would enable the Trade to embark on prospective new business ventures. I would urge every one associated with this industry to participate in this show, which hopefully would open up a world of opportunities for Gold Jewellery Artisans, Designers, Manufacturers and related categories as well.
