Deccan Gold Mines share prices have risen more than 10 times in last 5years from Rs14.04 to Rs 144.90 as on Friday . Inspite no gold exploration or production in India yet , the share price has appreciated significantly.

Deccan Gold Mines Ltd. (DGML), is the first and the only gold exploration company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) which was established in the year 2003 by promoters with deep roots in the exploration and mining sector. DGML for a long period of time has been involved in gold exploration activities in India and overseas. DGML’s exploration in India, particularly in the state of Karnataka led to dicovery of open pittable gold deposits in the Archaean greenstone belts of Dharwar Craton. These deposits are in Hutti and Dharwar – Shimoga belts. DGML has also completed a JORC – compliant Feasibility on Ganajur gold deposit in Karnataka.

Deccan Gold Mine recently acquired a 60% stake in Avelum Partners LLC in Kyrgyzstan and a 31.52% stake in Kalevala Gold Oy in Finland. These acquisitions are expected to add approximately 10 tonnes of potential gold resources to Deccan’s portfolio.
