An Immersive Dialogue of Jewels and Couture: The House of Rose x Krésha Bajaj

26-09-2025   01:45 PM

The House of Rose, India’s most revered luxury jewellery maison, unveiled the India debut of Krésha Bajaj’s acclaimed collection, The Archive of Hidden Things, following its celebrated international premiere at Dubai Fashion Week. Staged at Rose’s flagship boutique in Ballard Estate, this collaboration was conceived as an intimate dialogue between couture and fine jewellery.

A Dialogue Between Couture and Jewels
Since 1981, The House of Rose has redefined the codes of Indian luxury — creating jewellery that transcends ornament to become poetry in design and legacy in craftsmanship. Its flagship in Ballard Estate is an ode to this philosophy: an experiential world where heritage and modernity converge across curated spaces such as The MEZZ, The Treasure Chest, and The Watch Bar.

This showcase brought together Bajaj’s couture with Rose’s masterful creations from the Vintage Trésors and Harmony of Shapes collections, a pairing that celebrated texture, form, and storytelling through design.

One extraordinary necklace from the Vintage Trésors collection brought together rose-cut and round natural diamonds with a cascade of tanzanite tumble beads, framing two vivid centre stones: an oval rubellite and a commanding 11.820-carat oval pink tourmaline. A composition of rare gemstones in vibrant hues, it captured the harmony of light, colour, and timeless craftsmanship. Equally captivating was a regal emerald necklace, where nine commanding octagonal emeralds formed the heart of the jewel, each accented by the gentle glow of button pearls. Interwoven with Russian emerald melon beads, the creation revealed a rich interplay of green tones — a composition that balanced precision with fluidity, paying homage to emeralds in all their majestic shades.

Completing the curation was an all-diamond silhouette, an ode to pure brilliance. Crafted with natural diamonds of the highest quality, its composition of pear, round, and marquise cuts radiated light from every angle. Sophisticated yet timeless, it transformed brilliance into wearable art.

“This partnership felt both inevitable and electric,” shared Trisha Vaidya, Director, The House of Rose. “At Rose, every jewel is imagined as an heirloom of emotion and artistry. Krésha’s work, too, is deeply rooted in originality and narrative. To bring her collection into our flagship space allowed fashion and jewellery to speak in harmony — creating a moment of intimacy, resonance, and rare beauty.”

The Archive of Hidden Things
In this rare collaboration, Krésha Bajaj’s Archive of Hidden Things unveiled within Rose’s jewel-like setting was elevated by the maison’s exquisite curation. Inspired by Bajaj’s fascination with intimacy and the unseen — the secret compartments of antique jewellery boxes, sculptural corsetry, pressed flowers in old books, and the haunting beauty of Gothic architecture — the collection blurred the lines between structure and dream. Personal artifacts, surrealist art, and architectural geometry came together in a ready-to-wear line that felt both bold and ethereal.

“After its international unveiling in Dubai, presenting The Archive of Hidden Things in Mumbai felt like bringing the collection home,” said Krésha Bajaj. “To do so at The House of Rose, a maison that embodies the same spirit of storytelling, intimacy, and craft, made this showcase even more meaningful.”

Together, The House of Rose and Krésha Bajaj created a canvas where couture and fine jewellery were not merely presented, but experienced — a sensorial journey that awakened the imagination and redefined the boundaries of luxury storytelling.
